Your family stories stay in your family space. You choose when to invite someone or share a Memory Challenge.
Every photo and story belongs to one family space. People in other families cannot see them. A Memory Challenge link is an exception you choose: anyone with that link can see that one memory's title, one photo and your prompt for up to 30 days, unless the sender or host revokes it sooner. Viewing it never opens the rest of your archive. Someone replying gives their name and consent before joining your family, which grants access to the family archive.
You join with your name alone. If you want to keep your spot on other devices, you can add your email and we will send you a sign-in link. We never sell or share your email.
Photos are stored privately and shared only with your family. Your host can remove a member, and any member can leave a family space at any time.
Everyone ticks a box promising to treat each other kindly. If something in the game does not match how you remember it, you can say so without anyone losing points.
We store your display name, family membership, consent, optional email, photos, recordings, written stories, transcripts, trivia questions, answers, votes and activity records. Recordings are sent to OpenAI for transcription through Lovable's AI service. Transcripts and story text are sent to Anthropic through that service to draft stories and questions. Review drafts before sharing them. Read-aloud currently uses your device's speech service, which may process question text outside Rosemary. A separate narrator audio service is not enabled.
Pilot administrators see family names, host names and participation counts. They do not get access to memory text, recordings or photos unless your host invites them into the family.
Your host can download stories, stored photos and recordings together from Me. Photos are resized for the archive; downloads contain those stored versions. Downloaded copies are outside Rosemary's privacy controls, so keep them somewhere safe. Authors and hosts can remove memories. In Recently removed on Me, your host can restore a memory within 30 days or permanently delete its tellings, questions, photos and recordings immediately. Automatic deletion after 30 days is not active yet. Your host can permanently delete the whole family space and its stored media from Me. This cannot be undone. Removing a member ends their access, but cannot erase copies they already downloaded.
